Re: outdrive does not move

try pressing the buttons multiple times to get the "click"

that click is the solenoid engaging but its not completing the circuit on the secondary side to engage the motor

sometimes they get sticky and you have to "rattle" them with the clicks

check for corrosion on the connections at the pump assembly

Go up to one of the stickies at the top of the forum and download service manual #2. Complete details on how to troubleshoot the problem.

Or, hope for the best with clicking till it works.

Yeah, the older ones are designed that way. The middle button when pushed by itself activates the trim - and takes advantage of the trim limit switch. In order to go all the way up, you simply press both buttons at once.

It might go up now, but what about when you are trying to get the boat out of the water and the clicking fails to work ?????????????????

Why it doesn't stay up could be low fluid, CHECK IT !
That problem is also addressed in the troubleshooting section of the manual.

like dons said go to the manual ,but also check for lose and or leaking fittings on the pump and trim cylinders if it is low on fluid.
