Interesting challenge... From the throttle control I can move my outdrive all the day down but not all the way up. It will trim up mid way but won't come all the way up. If I lean over the back of the boat there is another switch back there and I can press it to bring the outdrive up with no problem. I'm not sure it's the switch up front because it does trim up and down, just not all the way up. Thoughts?

The switches on the throttle control are for trimming only, not tilting. The trim uses the same motor but is limited in travel on the up cycle but full down is allowed. There should be a lever on the dash for Trailering or Tilt, wording like that.

Will take a look tonight... that would be simple. Fingers crossed but I don't remember seeing it.

Some outdrives, have a Trim Limit sensor that will not allowyou to Trim the drive out past a certain point. This is typically where ventilation begins occurring. In these set-ups, there is a second switch for TRAILOR, which raises the drive out the rest of the way. Trim down will work for both. It sounds a lot like what you are describing. Either there is a Trailor button on the shifter, or an alternate button for this. Honestly, this sounds like a feature, not a problem. That is how My Merc Outdrive works anyway.
