Is this normal? It rubs and when dry sounds creaky. Seems like there should be a different connecting angle??

Don't recall seeing that myself. Were the lines replaced in the past? Could be the wrong ones. Or they are just like that from factory.

I don’t think that’s a normal position. Has any part of the system been replaced? If you do nothing else, I would put some plastic loam or sleeve over the hydraulic lines to prevent wear.

Well, I suppose you could carefully bend the lines, I don't think it would hurt them, but you never know for sure. I think I would tweak them a little. I can look at one at the shop an see how close they are on one we have in storage.

I would not bend the lines. I don't have my boat handy, but the Youtube video below shows it will likely be the same as yours, so it may be normal. You could rotate the top line a bit to reduce the interference.

Looked at one today.. Both drives are the same as yours. Not rubbing hard, but they are close.

I replaced the Hyd lines on mine some years back because they had rubbed through to the reinforcing. I bent the stainless tubes just a little to reduce the contact. However they still rubbed so I got some of the spiral plastic tube that is used to hold cables together, called "cable tidy" or something similar, problem solved, the plastic is much more resistant to chaffing.

Does anyone else have this issue? It seems insane that these hydraulic lines would rub like that from the factory!

I think you need to loosen the securing line nut on the ram and rotate the hose line to a less restrictive angle and then re-tighten it.

I think brich has it. I'll see if I can get a pic of my SX-M when I go to it this weekend and post it - I don't think it's like your first pic (certainly not as clean), but I don't think it rubs like that.

I have an SX-m and mine are the same. Was thinking about getting some rubber tubing, splitting it open and wrapping the lines at those locations then will use hose clamps at each end to hold em place.
