Outdrive Motor will not turn off - again

I have a 2002 Crownline 4.3L. About 6 months ago, I had the same problem that I have now (that I thought was fixed). The outdrive trim motor will not turn off, trying to constantly be in the down position. Previously, I replaced the switch in the throttle body, and both relays. A week ago when on the river, the issue happened again. The only way to stop it was to push the trim button up. I subsequently plugged the red wire into the blue wire (see photo) to stop the hydraulic motor. Any ideas on how to get this properly working?

Update: I ran a separate ground wire, and touched it to the Green wire (while the red and blue wire were still connected) at the trim tab, and the outdrive continuously ran in the up position. Most puzzling

Ayuh,.... You've got some screwy wirin' goin' on somewhere,.....

At that switch, red should be power, blue should be up, 'n green should be down,.....
Ground should be from the pump motor to the battery,....

Really strange. In that the only way to stop the pump from lowering the outdrive is to connect (and keep connected) the red wire to the blue wire. Once I run a ground wire, and touch the green wire, the pump will raise the outdrive (continuously, even when it is no longer touching). According to my wiring diagram, the pump has a 2 prong connector - 2 wires on each prong. Green and white, and Blue and white.
