Outdrive oil leak?

I noticed some out drive oil leaking from this hole on the drive. How is that possible?

most likely the driveshaft seal under the water pump

I replaced that when I did the water pump back in October. Could I have messed it up?

that or the plastic shift shaft housing has a leaking seal or is cracked

Went out to drain the oil and realize the oil coming oil is brown like used oil. While the oil in the drive is fresh from my last change in the fall. Is it possible the oil coming out is residual from when I changed the water pump or that it's not drive oil?

This photo is the brown oil coming from the weep hole, the blue is from the drain plug on the drive

Ran the motor today for about 15, no leak......wondering if that was just residual oil from when I did the water pump before I winterized.
