Re: outdrive oil

It should look just about like new oil, maybe a little darker and not as clear but still it shouldn't look muddy or discolored.

Re: outdrive oil

One thing to look out for is a milky/cloudy appearance - usually a sign of water intrusion.

Re: outdrive oil

The AQ430 has 2 drive options, Sp & Dp. Both take approx 2.8 U.S. Quarts, 10w30 or 10w40 engine oil.

The drain plug is under the vent plate and the fill plug is behind the front cover. Drain and refill with drive fully tilted up.

Aldo

Re: outdrive oil

Are you sure about 10w30/40 for the outdrive I thought it was much heavier.
