Outdrive part help please??

I am looking for a complete upper unit repair kit for a 1973 888 sterndrive. I am looking for a complete kit with all the bearings and seals and o-rings, gaskets etc, for rebuilding the upper half of my drive. It is the Ford 302 engine and the drive ratio is 1.5 to 1. I believe it is a pre Alpha outdrive, but I think the parts for the earlier Alpha 1 outdrives will also work. 888 sterndrive serial # is 3570358 If anyone could give me the correct Mercruiser part# or even Sierra part # for this older outdrive I would be grateful!!!

It may be cheaper to go with a SEI drive. They come with a 3 year no fault warranty. check here.

Ayuh,...

Here's the Seal Kit,.....
And,...
This Kit might, or might not fit your old Mod.1.....

But,...
I Agree with LT,... An SEI would be Better money spent....

Ebasic power might have that kit. This web site might have it also. I

understand about having to rebuild a drive, or half the drive. I would love to

get a new drive. Hell I would love to get a new boat. HA while i'm at it I would

love to be 20 years younger and have a billion dollars to. $ is tight with 4 kids,

a dog and a house, bills...bills...more bills.
