Outdrive preventative maintenance...

Hello. I have a 76 Slickcraft SS194 (17' ski boat w/ford 302 mercruiser). I want to change the oil in the outdrive and possible the impeller. What other preventative maintenance is there?

Is there a write up on this? All I know is that I have to pump the new oil in from the bottom and that the impeller often strands people.

The best info and repair instructions will be in the OEM service manual for your engine and drive. Manual #2 covers both for that year.
