When I put my outdrive in the travel position it slowly sinks to the drive position. I'm talking less than a day. Would that be a hydraulic cylinder problem or a hydraulic pump problem? Thanks. (Info in Sig)

It could be the cylinders or the pump. There is some troubleshooting you can do to identify the problem in the manual. Check the adults only section to get online manual. My old boat did the same thing but I didn't dig into the problem because of the cost of parts. I had the ram cover device that holds the drive up.

If it is pumping the rams up, but then the rams slowly deflate, then that sounds like leaking rams to me. As thumpar mentions you can buy those plastic clip on brackets that maintain the travel position. If you don't want to spend money now, then those clips (Sierra travel Clips on Iboats are $14.79 for the pair) will keep you going for now and make it safe on trailering. Check out shopsei.net (SEI) who do sterndrives and replacement rams, trim pumps, etc, etc. Their trim rams are less than it would cost in repair parts and have a 3 year no quibble warranty

I would do the diagnostics before just replacing the rams. The pump has check valves that can fail.
