We're coming down for a week starting Friday for a week.... we'll be in Salvo.

First. I want to bring some gear so I don't have to buy it ALL - I want to support the local tackle shop and will buy some stuff when I am down there (trust me). I have a few surf rods and reels, I have no idea what kind of line to put on it or what basic gear to bring...

Whenever I go somewhere I have never fished before, I look to get a guide to show me the techniques used for that type of fishing in that area and also look for some good fishing charters.

If you have anyone you have used before - let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Right now the sea mullet and drum are showing up in fair numbers on the piers. The blues and spanish havent arrived yet. Check the bouge Inlet pier website for local reports and pictures of fish caught today..nice site
