Outerwear for Spring Fishing

My hubby just bought me FroggToggs and I love them, though not exactly the sexiest thing I've ever worn. They do keep you dry and really cut down on the wind. The best part is that you can fold them small enough to fit into a ziplock bag.<br /><br />I don't normally promote brand names but these are great.

Our friend's kiddo has a pair of them, they are cute. They are much nicer than my white shrimper boots, maybe I could paint two eyes on the top of them and make them look like flounder.

In our main shrimper port here, Bayou le Batre, AL, they call those white boots "Bayou le Batre Reeboks". Very fashionable. The painted on eyes will probably catch on one day, too.

Jack, I know they are just the bees knees at boat basins everywhere. That is of course why I own a pair, they kinda remind me of gogo boots from the 60's. <br /><br />Cotterman, it was actually my birthday, I expect something a little more romantic on my anniversary, like a new offshore rod and reel.

i seen those 'frogg toggs' over the weekend.. i went to the new (few years old) bass pro shop in baltimore.. it really is fishin' 'mecca' to say the least..!! it's pretty much alwsome..<br /><br />the 'toggs' are pretty neet.. there so thin & lite weight... almost look like 'tyvek' cloth.. the throw-away-painter's overalls.. wild material.. <br /><br />you are right,, LADY... those 'frog boots' are the cuuutest cottonpickin' thing i ever seen.. <br /><br />i swear,, if i could get my 'lil'abner's in 'em ,,, i buy myself a pair... <br /><br />gee,, LADY... your hubby sure must really luv ya... wants to keep ya warm ,safe, & dry...heck,, what else is there...
