Re: Outhouse Mistake

Did I mention Christmas? Our family gives nasty gifts for whatever interesting (stupid) thing someone did during the year. Time for input....I have come up with a glow bobber attached to a key chain and a new kind of lure - a very large tootsie roll with some corn pressed in and a key chain attached.

Time for some sick thinking. What do you all think would work?

That sounds like a good idea.

Re: Outhouse Mistake

This is a tad bit off the subject, but years ago there was a guy that owned a beerjoint north of us that had terdbirds on disply in his beerjoint. He had a very big dog. He'd gather some sizable terds that had dried in his yard and then make little statues from them. By placing feathers, toothpics, corn, rice and other tiny little pieces of things that he could find around the house, he came up with some fairly fancy little nick-knacks.
I don't believe that anyone could get away with anything like that these days. Health inpectors can get rather nitpicky.

Now y'all are making me remember using my great-grandmother's outhouse in northern Maine during Christmas time visits! Ever see a ten year old get his business, and the paperwork done, in two minutes flat? DANG, those seats were cold!

PS: She actually had indoor plumbing by that point but sometimes you just hadda go "right now" when the regular bathroom was occupied!

I have the perfect gift idea...

My grandfather used to make and sell miniature log cabins (made to specs of real log cabin). As accessories to those cabins, he also made little mini outhouses. They are all wood, but it would still be the PERFECT gift for this situation.

I *MIGHT* have an extra one packed away up in the attic, I'll check for you today if you like, and if I do, I'd be more than happy to send it your way if you promise to post the reaction. :D

I believe manykids said he already celebrated christmas with the family Sgtmaj, in one of his post from november.

I couldn't believe that a man over on the next road from us actually was selling 2 out houses, I believe they ended up finally knocking them down. Who in there right mind would buy a used out house, sends shivers up my spine just thinking about it. I'm glad nobody bought them things.

Wild,
Yikes! I mean, maybe if they belonged to Abe Lincoln or something, there might be some kind of historic value there... but first of all, who's really still going to USE an outhouse these days (scarry thought in and of it'self)... and then, who's going to want a used one?
