hello everyone,are outriggers worth buying, or are planner board.

Depends on the kind of fishing you do.High speed trolling you need outrigers. Planer boards are for a lot slower trolling.They are better in fresh water.Jerry

It depends on how you fish. I have riggers and only use them once or twice a year when fishing offshore.

Running planer boards when Striper fishing is deadly. I run a set of 3-board x 36" planers with 100' lines and have no problems running 6 sets of baits off each side.

can i ask you how you rig outriggers becuase i see boats with lots of clips and stuff.can you send me a pic how your outriggers look.maybe im useing them wrong

Here is your basic outrigger setup. You can run one or two release clips depending on your setup.
