Over charging

Would anyone have the part number for the regulator on a 1993 E200TXETF. I am getting a charge rate of 16.6 volts and no tach. After reading some of the old posts I think this may be my issue but the dealer wants $300.00 for this part .

Thanks

Re: Over charging

Thanks for the reply! That helps bunches.
OK here is what I have done so far: I have ran the test foe water cooled reg./rect. by Joe Reeves. I found no "terminal board" at the engine so I unplugged the yellow/yellow grey wires at the plug on top of the unit. Jumped the wires as described and still no tach. I checked the voltage on the grey wire and it is 13.2v. Seems I read somewhere that the voltage should be 9.0v. I performed this test with the ignition switch on but the engine not running.
Still the regulator/rectifier?
Thanks

Re: Over charging

The 9.+/-1. volt specified for the gray wire requires that the engine be running at 1,000 RPM. The reading should be taken with a peak reading voltmeter set to "pos" and "50". If the tach is disconnected the voltage should increase.

The gray wire gets its pulse from the alternator so if the engine is not running it will not show; no voltage should show on the gray terminal with the engine off.
