I have a 1996 4.3 four winns and yesterday took the kids out for a lil skiing.. Boat cranked right up and drove it for about 200 yards and as I always do check the gauges. Looked down and seen engine at around 225 degrees so I shut the motor off. Upon inspection I notice the big hose leading to the water pump poped off. So I was able to put back on and was drifting to let engine cool. Needless to say I waited about 45 min and tried to crank back up but only to the sound of a click. Engine now will not turn over. I tried it this morning and it turned over for about a 1/2 of a second and went right back to the clicking sound??? The engine is a 2 year old jasper engine that I replaced. Any ideas of what to do from here.....could it be hydrolocked from a coolant hose popping off? Please help! Thank you
