ok guys ck this one .. new engine ,new manifolds , new rec pump, new impellar, new bellows, new thermostat and still overheats at idle.. 210 deg. cant drive in no wake zone .. 1500 on up temp drops to 155..
I had the same problem overheating at idle. I changed everything, then found out by taking the drive off sticking a garden hose in the water intake tube, and then go squirted in the face because there is a copper tube that connects the hose from the back of the bell housing and the goes throught the transom to the other end. That copper tube was rotted. Check yours maybe thats the problem.
its a 94 searay 200 signature ,alpha one gen 2, four barrel carb. all marine parts , when put ball ck vaves on temp goes to 210 and stays there never drops.. laser cked temp
New engine? Of what type? Was this a total tear down or buy it from somebody? Yes, the risers could, BUT! Not an idle. Check the assembly of the "thermostat Hsg"!
post a picture of your cooling hoses and how they are routed from the thermostat housing, include a shot of the thermostat housing so we can iD it. I have seen some with your problem that were plumbed wrong after replacing the engine.
ok ckd hoses they are correct. ordered new water pump ,water tube , sleave , seals ... etc.... so will let ya know ... iboats will deliver on fri. 13th woooohoooo
ok all better .. cant narrow it down what was the problem . but i took the easy way out and replaced every cooling part down to the water pump bolts .. a piece of mind knowing it is all new is priceless and and all quicksilver parts...thanks iboats and jerry in florida .
