over heating

i fixed the problem with my 84 mercruiser 140 over heating, i had a clogged exhaust elbow. right where the water and exhaust mix, was east fix, some light sand blasting and easy dremel work opened it right up. just passing on the info someone might need it.:)

There IS a problem with the info though....



When a riser gets that clogged with rust as yours has you do not know when it will start leaking internally and subsequently destroy the engine.

It's a huge gamble.


When a riser gets that bad, it's TIME TO REPLACE IT.

Ayuh,... I Agree with Rick,....
Most all that Crud you dug out, Used to be cast iron....
