overhauling carbs ?

1979 evenrude 85 hp ob <br />bought a repair manual and carb kits in the kits there are tiny metal clips in with the needle and seat what are they and where do they go? my carbs dont have them on them thanks to all who has helped me with my boat problems

mercrude , I believe the clips attach needle valve to float assy.Maybe design change from your originals.

mercrude, do the clips in your kit resemble the ones on your float assys?If so, assemble and hand test for smoothe operation.Manual should give float setting in measurement from float to carb body.

That carb kit may be used for several different carburetors so it's possible to have parts left over.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty
