Found a big blob of clear (not translucent) blue grease under one head thermoswitch. Overheat alarm has been going off sooner and sooner. One plug on that head shows water/rust. Figure blown gasket.

Ya think the grease was to cover up the overheat?

Bought boat a few months ago......guy was reluctant to sea trial........hmmmmm

it should have actually been a silicone grease. dont know if you bought a lemon or not but you need to find out where the water is coming from and if its damaged a cylinder or lower main bearing.
or just remove the thermoswitch and run it till it quits.

Silicone grease is used on the sensors?
I plan on changing the gasket tomorrow. Hopefully I caught it in time........
