Overheating 120hp Force

I have a 1999 120hp force engine that sounds the high temp alarm. It does this after 3-4 mins at idle in both neutral or in drive. I have replaced the impeller annually as stated in the owners manual. Any idea's what might be wrong. Thanks

Try testing/replacing your t-stat. I might be stuck closed. Or you might have some blockage in the water cooling system. I'm in the process or replacing the overflow valve on my '86 Force 120. I hit some sand a while back and gunked everyting up.<br /><br />Patrick
