I have a 1984 Johnson 115, its been siting for 10months, just fired it up today for the first time, and its overheating now, it ran fine last time out, last year I replaced the t-stats, waterpump, pulled the heads and replaced the water deflectors and head gaskets, and cleaned out the block of salt, I'm running it in a box full of water, tell tale is showing good pumping. What to do now?? I really don't know where to go from here?

Thanks

Will

Well, I don't know what the deal was? I pulled the hoses at the tstats, little few particles of stuff came out, and ran it again, alarm wasn't going off, now the right head was nice and cool, I could do a 10 count with fingers on the head easy, but the left head I could only do a 3 count??? I slacked off the hose with it running, heard some air come out then it cooled right down and can now do a 10 count on that head too, wierd. So I let it run for another 5 minutes and all seemed fine? What could of happened?

Where did you have it stored at? I've see critters do some weird things to mtrs when they are in storage.

Inside my garage all the time, sitting on a stand.
