I would appreciate some help from anyone out there with a Carver Mariner (1999-2004). I have expereinced a problem where my guage would read high indicating overheating. The needle sits between 1/2 and 3/4 on the gauge. It used to sit at the 1/2 mark. Everything has been replaced (risers, manifold, thermostate, sensors, etc.) It is not a guage problem.

Anyone out there with a Mariner can you tll me where your needle sits on the gauges. Is it supposed to go as high as the 3/4 mark, which would be around 190 degrees.

Re: Overheating??

Your problem has nothing to do with the type boat you have, it's all about the engine and outdrive. For us to help, we need make, full model numbers, and serial numers (if you have them). I have worked on about every gas engine out there, but have no idea what is in a Carver Mariner.
