I have a new boat that’s 9 feet wide more if I have the upright guides on the trailer. I don’t moor it so I tow it to and from the boat launch occasionally I’ll tow it to the coast which is a three hour tour. Pardon the quote.
looks like washington state offers monthly and yearly permits but im not finding much on line about this for Oregon.
Number one question how many of you bother with permits for something this size and what about universal permits for more states i read something about this. But that was when I first looked into buying it.
Lastley my boat glows in the dark its not what youd call youd call inconspicuous at all going down the road so it’s going to get noticed by a trooper if not for the size but because you can’t not look at it when it’s anywhere.
I see a lot of really wide boats from time to time and people tell me they don’t buy the oversized permits but I don’t know what to think.
In a couple years ill be towing it back and forth to florida so at some at some point I’ll have to make the effort to get a mult state permit for as many of the states I’ll be going through.
