Check the trigger output, you can power all you want to the power packs, but if no trigger, no fire. Since it's both power packs (at least that's what you post seems to imply) it's not too likely that they both failed.

When you say "no fire" we assume that means no spark on a spark checker, right? Or does it mean the motor won't fire up (run)?

If you have no spark on any of the 6 plug wires, disconnect the large red cannon plug to seperate the boat harness from the engine harness. Then jump the solenoid to check spark with the spark checker. If you start the motor like this, you'll have to flood it to shut it off. Check spark only!

what's the trigger (sorry, I haven't heard that term yet) ?

yep, no fire to spark plugs, I don't have a spark checker other than taking out a plug and reconnecting plug wire and holding to or near bare metal surface on block. new plug on all 6 ,

Paddleboy, take a ten penny nail and cut the head off. Stick it in the end of a spark plug wire and hold the sharp end of the nail 1/2" away from a CLEAN engine ground and have a friend crank the engine. If you see spark, it should be a hot lighting like spark. No spark, pull the big red connector and jump the starter solenoid and look for spark again.

Couple questions......is this engine new to you or have you had it a while. If you've had it a while, how good did it run....what rpms at WOT?

Well, if you have pulled the canon plug and still don't have fire, then either both power packs went out or you don't have the trigger/sensor working properly. The trigger provides the signal to the coils to fire at the appropriate time. It takes a special tool to test the trigger, so you may need to take it to an outboard mechanic to get that tested.
