Thank you Winn Dixie!!!

Winn Dixie Supermarkets has recently started a new reward card program called Fuel Perks. For every $50.00 spent, you save 5 cents per gallon at Shell. Every week there are about a dozen products which give you bonus fuel perks from 5 to 15 cents per item. They had Winn Dixie brand charcoal on sale $6.99 per 16.6 pound bag. 10 cents bonus fuel perks with each bag purchased. I do a lot of charcoal grilling, and Winn Dixie charcoal burns a little longer than Kingsford and there's no difference at all in flavor. I bought 15 bags. With the other items I had bought a few days earlier, it added up to $2.00 off per gallon. The Shell station near me usually has the lowest prices around. Regular was $3.04, so I paid $1.04 per gallon!!! I'm saving around 50 to 100 dollars per month.

Kroger and Food Lion have the same Fuel Perks program. I think there are one or two others, also. If you don't have one of these, check with the supermarkets in your area. This seems to be catching on.

Yup we have a similar program here and I saved .90/gallon via a supermarket program. The downside is there is a 20 gallon limit.

Funny but "non-driver's" are selling their credits on facebook. So, if someone has $2/gallon off they will sell that for $10 (a split) and make arrangements to meet you at the gas station. Only the Sunoco stations are using the program.

Same here regarding the 20 gallon limit. I'd imagine, though, without the limit, this program couldn't work. I think 20 gallons is fairly generous. There's no limit to the savings. I don't know how it would work if your savings exceeds the price. They're surely not going to pay you the difference. I wonder if you keep the leftover discount, or if it would be forfeited. With the potential for free gas, they've got to set a limit. Oh well...

Go and meet someone at a gas station for $10.00 after posting on facebook??? With the time and effort all taken into consideration, what could they be making... $2.75 per hour? In all fairness, though, 10 bucks is 10 bucks.;)

We've got a 30 gallon limit on ours. My truck got it's first full tank in years when I recently had $.90 off!

Our Giant and Weis Stores have a 30 gallon limit. So I can fill up the SUV and a 5 gallon gas can. Or put a dent in the gas tank of the boat. I love it when I get to fill up for free! We get $0.10 off per $50 purchased and they have specials to get more off ir you buy 7 of these products or 10 of those products. I fill my SUV about once per month and have anywhere from $0.50 - $3.00 off, depending. I love getting gas for $0.19 per gallon!;)

Our Giant Eagle has been doing this for years.

Krogers here in the Atlanta area have been doing this for a while and a lot of the stores also have a fuel center, too Most you can get is $1 off, but they have a lot of promos like 4X points for gift cards now so this time of year the points add up. Regular discount is 3 cent and the Krogers gas prices are the same as Racetrac and QT, the two cheapest stations around here. They have a tie in with Shell as well, but Shells in the area think their gas is real special.

Gift cards @ Kroger- 4X points. Went to Kroger, bought a gift card for the wife's Kindle Fire, got $1.00 off per gallon. Gift card for B&N- another $1.00 off per gallon. Itunes cards for everyone, another $1.00 off. Everytime I spend on cards I get points. Great deal for me.

the state shut the kroger plan down here for a year or two, some dumb law against selling gas below cost. Got it straightened out and it's back but I think it's .1 every $100 you spend, and I don't think it stacks.
