Paid 700 for job, too much?

Good morning gents, had a new shift switch, 6 carb kits, and new head gasket, and a few other minor things done. Good price? I have a 2000 225Johnson outboard.

I do all my own stuff but that sounds like a really good deal for all that work, I would say you did well as long as all of it works.

Appreciate the feedback. Wish i knew enough to do the work myself. Guess i'll find out un a couple weeks if the work was good

Get yourself a factory service manual, don't be afraid to ask questions, and before too long everything you mentioned will be minor. I think a good many of us wouldn't be able to afford our boats if we had to pay a mechanic every time something needed to be done.
