Other than how it looks is there anything wrong with brush painting my outdrive black with rustoleum paint? It's 22 years old so not concerned about cosmetics.

Nope.....

I brush off, 'n rattlecan mine every year or 2....

Get one of those high density foam trim roller's (about 4" wide) and a quickie roll and tip will look professional!!

It's all in the prep........ just be sure to use a zinc chromate primer on any bare aluminum showing before you paint.
