paint problem

ive looked though the posts and couldnt find the answer i was looking for. i recentley painted my boat with valspar topside marine poly. paint but something happened with the paint gun and before i knew it i could doanything about it.the paint looks like it was painted with a spary can it got little dots and haze in some places. can i wet sand or use rubbing compound and the wax it to get the shine back on this type of paint thanks

Without seeing it, it is hard to say. Try it on a section and see if rubbing compound on the lighter places and wet sanding on the heavier places help.

Sounds like you have a condition that is called "fogging" which can happen when painting in too much humidity or if it gets too cold out while spraying or drying.Charlie
