The first time I messed with paintball guns I was surprised at the amount of stink with only a t-shirt on. I wore thicker clothing after that.

back in the late 90's I worked at a company where 3/4 of the machine shop were in a paint ball club. they made gatling gun paint ball guns mounted to ATVs, riffled barrels for all the clubs paint ball guns and would jack the pressure up to about 1200 psi

you had to wear serious padding

I need one,
my guess is goose control at the lake

No goose control, no rodent or dog.

Bruises the size of quarters and half-dollars all over the torso and arms.

Ours were required to be tested not to exceed 300 fps. No need for more. Paintballs had trouble surviving the trip much faster than that anyway. More accurate than a person would think possible. Things may have changed in the last 30 years.

To play paintball, run off strays (I do that with lead these days) and straight up mischief are the only reasons I can think of to own one.

What more reason would you need 😁. I bought a flash catapult with either clay or steel balls ,which were fine but a round lead fishing sinker really got their attention .....provided I was a good enough shot ....which I wasnt all the time , and the offending dogs got carted off by the police and put down before I got organised with a paintball gun .

They make glow in the dark paint balls, that will be perfect.
Yeah but after you have paintballed a mutt the last thing you need is it running home (across the road ) yodeling its head off ........and covered in paintball splats, much better it just yodeling , ya cant see bruises under furr .
Tell ya what tho ,after connecting with a ½" dia lead sinker ....got it right on the arse ,it was still limping a week later 😁😁

It's not the dogs fault it's out wandering
The girl (shes gotta be 40ish ) over the road claims to be an animal lover.....but more of a neglectful collector and she gets these "last chance " dogs to try and save , typically pit bulls ,bull terriers etc . They have had me bailed up at my gate several times , twice I have been rescued by passing motorists and once by the neighbour they had just attacked and bitten , usually with one or two trying to get behind me .They are acting as a pack . They have killed another neighbours goat , and have bitten all but two neighbourhood kids .
We have rung police , animal control several times and dogs have been removed and put down , as of now she has yet to be charged and replaces any taken dogs within days ....we have had 10 years of this and you get to the point where you dont care that its not the dogs fault and just deal to them as needed at the time . Honestly if I could get away with shooting them I would but I live in a loose cluster of 6 homes and police dont like anyone discharging firearms around residences .

Yeah, there are a LOT of dog owners who should get the treatment instead of the dogs. Most on my neighbors finally got the hint that I didn’t want their dogs tearing up our stuff and trying to kill our chickens. They started building runs or chain them up instead of letting them run loose. Law officers on both sides of me say I have the right to protect my stuff.

The owners are at fault for dogs running at large. Not the dog. I would never shoot a dog just for being a dog with the exception of them being aggressive enough to be attacking people, pets, or livestock.

We don’t know that Mark has a dog problem.

Read Post #5.

I haven’t killed a dog known to belong to a neighbor. A neighbor’s dog did get a chicken dinner. I haven’t seen that dog since. Saw it on the security camera a day or 2 after the chicken disappeared. That’s when I got serious about protecting our stuff. I set up trail cameras so I knew what time and what dogs.

Another neighbor’s dogs dug a trench around an outbuilding, I assume chasing rabbits. Same dogs worked the chicken fence some. He knew it was a problem so he started letting them out around 11 PM thinking no one would know. I showed him the pictures and let him know the consequences of me seeing the dog on my land again. They are contained in a run now.

The coyotes passing through the yard cause fewer problems than some of the neighbors. I find it very disrespectful for a person to allow their dog to run loose uninvited onto other people’s property.

I care about our dog. He is kept in a run and walked on a leash 3+ times a day. If I can do it, so can the neighbors.

My dog when I had one would stay in the yard unless lured out with hotdogs etc. He was very territorial and spent most of his time in the yard or the car. LOL
back to the topic. why do you want one. gonna take up modern art on the garage door.

Most paintball guns will be plenty accurate. Even the CO2 cartridge plastic pistols we started with in the late eighties were surprisingly accurate for what they were but they didn’t have much range. The “constant air” gun with a Daisy point sight I owned was very accurate. Everyone in the group owned pumps so no experience with semi-automatics. I did play against a guy who had a full automatic. “Spray and pray” didn’t seem to do him much good.
