Ya gonna flip the truck, nwcove? The tranny juice and motor oil might end up on the garage floor. ;)

I can see the bottom of mine while it's on the trailer and the bottom and top paint don't match very well. As silly as it seems it bothers the heck out of me.

Hmm, interesting...

New thread @painting the boat and the OP hasn't been back to repost here.

Wonder if the motor got pulled?

what paint for aluminum boat?

Still no pix, and no mention if it's upright or upside down for the painting....

This forum is brutal sometimes. Questions like this tend to get a serious answer or two, followed with a little bit of banter about the right and wrong way. After the useful posts are exhausted it just turns into a free for all.

To the original poster, don't take the negativity as an attack, the knowledge on this forum is still as good as it gets. I is really hard to get posts in on iboats if all you do is give straight answers to questions. By the time most of us find these threads the question has been beaten to death.

When I get tired of looking at the bottom of mine I dunk it in the water.

Re: painting boat upside down with motor on

I see this is still current. I do agree with the overwhelming responses and negativity. However, if the question is asked, the OP deserves an answer be it a simple yes or no. But with this type response the OP should get the news that it isn't a real good idea to flip any boat with engine attached for any reason. There are dangers involved that the OP should understand. I think he/she got the correct answer! With all that stated, I do wish him/her a good project and to come back with results and more questions. I'm sure most everybody will honestly treat him/her a lot better next time... I know I will...
