I am restoring my 79 16' SS and would like to paint the original style stripping on the hull.
My questions is how do you mask off a curved line. I can take this image and expand it and try and make a template out of multiple pieces of paper, but I am not sure what the best way is to transfer that to the hull in such a way I can mask it off and tape it.
The best way I can think of is to take multiple pieces of tape put them down on the hull, then take my template and use an exacto knife to cut through the template and masking tape along the curved line. I would then remove the template and pull up the masking tape leaving curved pieces still stuck to the hull.
Thoughts?
