Hello folks.... Novice here.... I am going to be restoring a 1964 Lone Star Triton. It is equipped with a 40 HP "Rude" (Lark VI). Just finished the engine details...runs nice and strong. A few questions:
Painting hull- Can I do a descent job with a brush??
Drum Steering- Rebuild- What diameter of cable should be used, ¼ or 3/16 ??
Run time / Fuel usage: I have an internal 20 gallon tank How long will the run time be per 5 gallons??
Does anyone have any history on this model? I understand it to be a bi-hull, inner and outer being fiberglass with a foam fill in.
Being fully fiberglass, does that mean my only rot point should or would be the transom?
Any other owners of like boat with any pointers??
Many thanks to all of you. I would not have started my new hobby had I not found IBoats Go IBoats!!!!!
I attached a photo of as brochure....
