Hello,
I have been working on my 1974 arrowglass cougar for nearly 2 years now.. and am now at the point of painting. I bought Blue Water Marine Topside paint. My question is does it have to be thinned for rolling it on? On the can it says it can be, but doesn't mention if it should be or not. Thanks

Re: Painting Question

Thinning not necessary. Are you going to use the roll and tip method?

Now..... if you are going to spray that paint....then it will have to be thinned out a bit.

Actually my personal preference is to not thin a paint until the final finish...the first few coats are just a foundation for the final coat

Re: Painting Question

I would love to see a picture of your finished project. I haven't seen much about Bluewater paint on the 'net. But it is essentially the same thing as Petit Easypoxy so you can google Easypoxy and find lots of info. You can use their reducers and primer.
