So I just got around to putting my last coat of rustoleum topside paint on my boat today not knowing we had rain coming. It has been a really hot day ( mid 90s) and the paint has had at least 6 hours to dry and is dry to the touch. I used the Valspar hardener on this coat. My problem is that the bow of the boat is close to the open end of the garage and might get some rain on it. Do you guys think it is dry enough and won't be a problem? I cant move it back into the garage because I have no one to help me lift it. The paint can says to not paint if rain is threatening. I feel so dumb now for not looking at the weather report. Impatience got the best of me.

You should be fine. It's not fully cured but enuf that a rain won't hurt it

Good deal. Luckily it has only sprinkled lightly and the weather is moving off. Thank you very much for the reply.

When painted the trailer for the dory it rained the next day. I had off color water spots all over it. It was only temporary. Once it fully hardened, it was a solid blue. So don't freak out if you see some spots. They may go away in a week or so.
