Re: Paradise Lost???

Chapter #15
Unfortunately, few considered that the answer to that question might really be no, for they had long since lost an understanding of what freedom really is. No, in this land "freedom" had become something dark, frightening, and dangerous. The people lived in mortal terror that somewhere, some individual might make a decision or embark upon a course of action that was not first approved by some government official.
Security was far more preferable. How could anyone be truely free if he were not first safe and protected?

  "QUESTION"
Have you ever lived in a free country??  I have, but only in my youth.  I contend, that if you are 40, or younger you have never lived in a free country. I contend that only if you are 50 or older, you "MAY" remember what it is like to live in a free country. You want examples?? Look around you, you do not dare do this, you must do this, don't do that, "DO THIS" This sentence, the regulations, the rules, the actions you must/must-not do, the majority of them are not laws, have never been legally passed. No we are over regulated by bereaucrats. The law creates a bereau/an-office/a-committee/an-agency/a-department, this bereau/an-office/a-committee/an-agency/a-department sets up an office, hires people (lawyers) like an octopus, spreads it's tenacles across the country, builds buildings, hires more educated (?????), radical, persons with an agenda and soon they are all powerfull, and start on their way to destroy freedom, life, liberty , and the persuit of happiness, as we know it. Not a month gos by, that an incident dosn't happen, that makes no sense, and hurts a large segment of our society, on the nightly news, you see the network agitators asking a series of senators/congressmen, their takes on the incident, they all agree "OH!! it's a terrible injustice", "OH!! something should be done about it", "OH!! this should never happen to an american citizen/family", "HEY!!" dammnit these are the dammned idiots (congressman/senator/lawyers) that make (have made) the beauracracies that have festered this injustice on us. Yet they proclaim to the world on the nightly news, that something should be done about it.
How old are you?? Have you ever been free?? Are you free?? Would you know freedom, if you had it?? Have you ever owned a piece of land? have you ever tried to develope it, only to be frustrated at every turn? Have you ever had to deal with a stupid bearucrat, that just got out of college, thinks he knows everything, but doesn't have enough sense to wipe his/her own a$$, and he/she is telling you what you want/need/? Telling you that you are deprived, are living in poverty/deprivation/ because you only have one bath? Hey, I remember during the depression of the 30's, when we were living on a dirt floored shack, with a path, "BUT" we were free, "BUT" we were happy. How many of you have ever lived in a dirt floored shack?? How many of you know what a tar-paper shack is, how many of you have ever seen a tar-paper shack?? Hey beauracrat (jackass) when you have walked in my shoes, when you have lived, and supported yourself (not lived off of momma and dada) when you have pulled yourself up by your own boot-straps, then come and tell me how I should live, what I should build, and how I should build it.
Does any one (with the exception of plywoodie) dare disagree with Me????

Chapter #16
Now we must say goodbye to this fair country whose government toiled tirelessly to create the safety, fairness, and luxury that all demanded, and that everyone knew could be created by passing just the right laws. Through it all, the people vigorously safeguarded their tradition of firearms owwnership. But they never knew-and never learned-that preserving a tradition and a way of life is not the same as preserving liberty. And they never learned-that it's not about guns.
--------------------------------------------------
"THE END OF PARADISE LOST/FOUND/LOST/FOUND
    :D  :D

Hey, I must confess that as the fictional story of old George, I cannot tell a lie. I did not originate this, but I read it in the publication of an organization that fights for our right to bear arms. As I read it, it expressed my beliefs, and sayings in the recent, and not so recent past exactly, and I felt that I had to share it with you all. I broke it into chapters, for posting convenience. It was entitled "WALTER MITTY'S SECOND AMENDMENT", and written by a Jeff Snyder.
But it represents my feelings exactly. Only the postings, that I have expressed as chapters #1 thru #16 (#16 above the dotted line) are from the original, as I have taken the liberty to add a few notations in other postings. I hope you all enjoyed the serial, and were enlightened, if not already aware of what is and has been hapening in this great nation, all in the name of fairness, benefits for all.

Good read. It seems it has gotten worse lately, accelerating especially during the politically correct 90's under a certain morally challenged presidential administration.

Remember, political correctness is an oxymoron, subjected on us by political morons.

Re: Paradise Lost???

Civil rights has led to the degradation and was/is/will-be the downfall of our great society. Not because it came about, but the way it was done. Instead of uplifting, enlightening, and educating the (majority of, not all) of the lower class minorities, they lowered the standards of society to their level, making us all equal, by dumbing down the population, and exploiting back alley morals.

Thanks Matt, I could have written it personally, as I have been preaching it just about verbatim for years. Although, I "cut and pasted" a very minute part of it (a couple of chapters when I had just a little timeI used note pad). I typed it from hardcopy, after reading it, and drawing lines after certain paragraphs, to serialize it. But I am too honest, too claim it.
I am a CWP holder, but not a gun owner radical. I believe their are no reasons whatsoever to own a kel-tec sub 2000, except to kill a large number of persons in a group. But as has been said, to get my hand gun, they will have to pry it out of my cold dead hands. :D :D
