Parasailing

I am getting a crazy notion to buy a parasail, and wonder if there are any horror stories from people who have tried it? My lake allows it on weekdays, I have a way to solidly mount a winch for retrieval, and I have a big and heavy-enough boat. I realize the potential for sudden, instant, painful death if mistakes are made.
Is this another hare-brained scheme?

how often do you plan on parasailing? No horror stories, however.... check your insurance. most prohibit parasailing.

requiring a separate insurance rider

not to mention, spending $3k+ for modifying your boat, etc. to use it maybe once or twice. you can go parasailing every weekend for 2 years for less money.
