You're absolutely right. Plus, the more people that can't afford to drive, the fewer people there will be on the road, getting in my way... except for all those danged pedestrians that make driving nearly impossible in every other third world country... that will do wonders for the GDP when no one can get around...

Ok get back in touch...we are importing oil now from the very same tar sands in canada.. It seems there doing a tremendous job with it i guess the research you are eluding to wasnt to well founded... Canada is outpacing the arab's...in oil production

The oil sands are in Alberta, over 800 miles from Williston ND. Not sure how the two could be related.

I agree that we import more oil from Canada, but Saudi Arabia produces much more oil than Canada. They just sell sell more of it to many other countries, including Canada.

My point was that oil companies, like any other businesses, look at the lowest production costs, regardless of the location. Higher production wells in other countries, including Canada, may be more favorable, than slower wells in Montana or California.

The oil sands reserves in Alberta are indeed huge, but so is the amount of energy and pollution required to get oil from them. If crude oil was $30/bbl, instead of $130/bbl, they would be sitting idle too.

Maybe making people have a licence to buy gas would help.To buy it you would have shown PROOF or legal owership or a car/truck and insurance and a VALID NORTH AMERICAN drivers licence. Those who have no business buying gas(or anything else here) would not be able to get it.Whats wrong with that?If you dont own a car. have no licence or insurance you should not be have it.Seems fair to me.

I don't think the gas prices really add up to that much

at 2.00 per gal 15 gal per week I spent $1560 per year (what we were paying)
at 3.59 per gal 15 gal per week I will spend 2800 per year
thats 1240 dollars more or 3.40 per day
I will not miss 3.40 per day but if I did all I would have t do is cut out somethings I have but do not need
cell phone, drinks when I go out for lunch or dinner, wifi, ect.

What I did was go out and buy the biggest truck I could get in my driveway
I figure that in 3 years the price of gas will be higher and I can drive what I want for less money now than in the future

Boat owners would be allowed extra cause boats are like cars as far as legal ownership etc.

I believe your point is to distract people from the real truth of how much oil truly exist in the world, that is the hard to get at tar sand's cover such a vast area it almost defies imagination.

For the last 8 yrs the american people have been told that a limited suppy's are the cause from limited refining ....while the oil company's have shut down 30% of the refinery's./...... natural disater's stopping production....they have used so may excuse's they are running out of them.

I have often wondered just why in the past 5 yr's all of a sudden we have global warnming and why we are running out of oil at the very same time. Ohh my god it is the end of time's.

This will someday go down in history as a very dark time for American poloticains and the self intrest's....but the bubble is about to burst. Wall street has truly maximized oils potential....Hey Regan ata boy ...i need to take a break here...shorlty i will post the map of gull island and if your can believe it or not our guberment is actulally going ot open ANWR finally..

I have already parked my 4x4 chevy at the lake and started driving the Ranger, Just use the 4X4 for launching the boat. The 10 mpg difference is sure adding up. Leaves me more money for boat gas.
It sure is cramped driving the Ranger back and fourth to the school board political meetings, but thats how it is in Government work!
