I can't be the only person who has run into this.
The yellow plastic clips that hold the carb and choke links have split and cracked.

I can't believe that these plastic bits are $10 each.
Are they made of a special rare earth, expensium ?? unobtainium ??

I have good ones on the carb linkage but the choke ones have disintegrated.
I have wired the top choke open and the pull out choke lever still controls the lower choke so I'm good, I never use the choke anyway.

Any way around waiting for 10 days and spending around $25.

Most folks simply do not understand parts pricing / shipping / warehousing costs !!!-----When you consider it nobody is making any money on that part for your 50 year old motor.----Come on over I give you some used ones.----Dime a dozen.

I do understand this stuff, but in this world of advanced manufacturing techniques, computerized inventory and selection I'm surprised that no one has made a run at reproducing these or coming up with a viable alternative.I realize demand is low for these specialized parts ( I have had about 15 BMW's from 1968 to 1986 ) I'm just expressing my surprise at the cost of these items and my consternation at their price.

Pardon my rant but one of these broke today about a mile from the dock and I had to slow troll in.
