Part number help!

I made a linkage from the steering cable to the motor. It works, but it is to hillbilly even for me. I have looked on dougrussell and on ishopmarine but can not find the part number. Can anyone help? It is a 50hp 81 Merc. Ser# 5797448. The Merc site did not have it either. <br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Rick

Try this site - mercruiserparts.com. They aren't a merc site - a vendor site. But they have some pretty complete diagrams and parts lists.

Rick,<br /><br />There's 3 different arms. One has a threaded section on both ends (-52150), the other 2 have a threaded end (steering cable end) and the other end has a hole for a bolt to pass through. One is for a 3/4" OD steering cable (-29738A1) and the other is for 7/8" OD steering cable (-38842).<br /><br />Hope this helps,<br /><br />Chris..............
