I have a 1987 Mercruiser 5.7, with an Alpha I drive. I know this is probably a stupid question, but does anyone have a good website for looking up part numbers for general things (thermostats, water pump housings, things like that)?

Thanks again guys

Thank Bomar......by the way, we're neighbors. I live in London. We love Benny's Pizza. Where do you boat?

Re: Part Numbers Help!

LOL....our son has worked there 4+ years (started at 16, now a sophomore at OSU) .
I have been going there since it was a drive in root beer stand and Benny actually owned it!

We normally go to Erie (Kelleys and Pelee) or Alum Creek. I grew up on Indian Lake, but we don't boat there anymore since we got thte bigger Baja. Way too many stumps and too shallow.
Where do you go? CJ Brown? Deer Creek?

And to keep this sorta on topic......while Bam Marine's website I listed above is great for parts lookup, I don't order from them since they hosed me on a shipment. Our TB IV Module went out during the week, and we had a big boating weekend planned. I called to verify they had the module in stock, no problem, have several. Ordered it with Next Day Air Shipping.

They did ship next day air.......4 days after I placed the order.

Let me know some time when you are headed to Benny's and I'll buy you a beer.

Beer at Benny's sounds good! I'll let you know next time we go. We're only about 15 mins. from CJ Brown. We go there if we're short on time. Sometimes Deer Creek, but mostly Alum. We live about a 1/4 mile from Choctaw Lake, if you know where that is.

Thanks for the heads up on the parts delivery.

Re: Part Numbers Help!

CJ Brown never really interested me.....big round bowl, no coves and such.

At Alum we are normally back in the new swim cove (why the moved it from all areas north of 36/37 is a poser) or blowing by the beach on a cool down run in our non muffled thru hull exhaust...LOL.

We normally launch at the Marina ramp, the others (Cheshire and New Galena) may be filled with Bass Tourney Idiots tieing up the ramps and entire area..

I'll PM you my number and email addy.

One of the main guys of Bam Marine, I believe he is the owner does a lot of posting over on (OSO) Offshoreonly.

From what I have seen over there, if a shipment of parts comes in wrong he gets involved to try to make it right.

Just thought I would let you know in case there is a next time.;):)
