This looks like the place to get some information on a seaking. I just bought an old (year unkn) seaking by Montgomery wards 7.5. The tag reads:

MANUFACTURED BY
CLINTON ENGINES CORP
MAQUOKETA, IOWA
MODEL NO. K7514106 A
SERIAL NO. 1194529\TYPE NO. XTV 50475 A

I got the motor running, she is going to need a good cleaning. I don't get any power to the prop. Soooo, I did what any other guy with tools and time would and took the lower unit off. I found a cast piece that engages the lower portion with the upper. I'll need that, as well as a manual. I think that I'm in deep enough with out some good guidance. If anyone can direct me to a source for parts and manuals, I’d say good things about them behind their back.

The part you need may be hard to find.
Clinton has been out of business for some time.
They are supposed to have parts at this number.
563-652-2411.You could check ebay for parts , parts motors and manuals. They may have a manual right here too.
There are generic manuals that cover many brands
of motors in one manual.I have 2 I use, one for 30
and above and one for below 30.

Re: Parts and Manual for Sea King

I was just wondering how you got the lower end off? I have a K900 that I think is the same except for the hp I have not figured out how to drop lower unit, it looks like I have to pull the powerhead first. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
mfbear
lrfos@yahoo.com
