Here is an e-mail address that Frank Acampora gave me when I was needing parts for my Chrysler built Sea King. franzmarine@aol.com He should have just about anything you need for a Chrysler. When you e-mail make sure you send Model, Serial #'s and any other info you have on the motor. This guy is very reasonable and seems to be as honest as the day is long. Hope this helps. Dave

Anyone got any parts diagrams on their computers or something they want to share?

So is there anyone else that sells parts for these motors or is Franz the only place?

Franz is a great guy and very knowledgeable, but he is not the cheapest guy around, nor should he be as he is more than willing to give of his time and expertise. However, like any business person he has to make a profit to stay viable so if you are looking for cheap parts don't use Franz. If you want good parts at a fair price, excellent expert advice, and NO sales pressure use Franz.
Currently on Ebay there are seveal old Chrysler/SeaKing small outboards and parts listed. You may be able to get a deal on Ebay but be warned, many folks on Ebay think they have outboard parts that are gold plated and price them as such. Just one man's opinion! ;)

Im not trying to avoid using Franz, I ordered my carb and tune up kits from him.... great guy. He had a hood for me but not the bottom section that the hood sits on. This is why I was asking if there was anyone else.

I happen to agree that Franz is the best, you would not find many people that will sit with you on the phone to hand walk you through a repair. Franz is not always the cheapest, but worth the effort to me.

Speaking of 4hp, I think I still have a head gasket somewhere for a 4hp Chrysler, can you use it? Send me PM. Not looking for value, just postage cost.

I agree with the ebay option for a parts engine. I sold my 4hp that had a bad ring for 100.00. The buyer felt he got a good deal since fixing a bad piston ring was easy for him. I thought the world of the 4hp though, hated to let it go. What has always amazed me is how light weight the engine was. My 4.5 Johnson weighs so much more then that Chrysler.

Good luck on finding your part.

I do have the manual for that motor if you're still looking for Diagrams.

I believe I have the cover for that motor. If you want it just pay for shiping as i have no use for it. Its not in perfect shape but if it fits your motor it;s better than nothing. I'm also looking for a cowling for a 1984 Sea King 7.5hp.
