parts for engine

can someone give me a few ideas for finding small parts for an evinrude. i.e. carb kits, gaskets. etc. thanks

sillyme,<br />#1- start with your local OMC dealer... Most are good guys, and knowledgeable about thier products (even the old stuff), and can help with finding the parts they don't stock...<br /><br />Followed by: (in no particular order)... Napa, PepBoys, Checker, Autozone, Big "A" (and just about any auto-parts house that is located near a reasonable sized body of water)<br /><br />Also, there are a TON of marine parts houses, who advertise on the internet (including the one that supports this discussion board... you might want to give them a try...)...<br /><br />Good luck, Obiwan

thanks, I had no idea that auto part stores would have anything close to the parts needed for a small craft motor. thanks

try www.boaterssupply.com its a good reference that was passed on to me by a good shipmate on this site.
