Does anyone know where or if i could get the parts required to do this ie: pupmp kit, motor gasket kit, rings etc etc??? I have searched around a little but cant seem to find any where that covers all this.
Thanks...........

It always amuses me when folks come to the number one marine retailer in the world to ask where they can find. . . . . . . :)

Having old OMC's I can sympathize. iboats parts listings are very confusing. I know they can get and sell all the parts, but finding them is not apparent.
I don't know what my part number is or the cross-reference number either.
So I end up going to the dealer website or other places to find the numbers for older than 68' models. The site seems to be geared to dealers.

I guess that can be taken as constructive criticism. Sierra does have a cross-reference list. Maybe iboats will think about adding it to the site? But what do I know, maybe it's too big.

Well JB, i am really pleased that my question amused you...a boring life one must have. Yes i have searched this site and yes i have found the occasional part that i require with the correct identification number to suit my motor but i have still got a lot parts that i would like yet nothing i see similar has the correct numbers for my model.......so for a number one site you say, where are they then, please fill me in!
Tootallofwa and FR, Thankyou for your empathy and support on this, very much apprieciated guys. Maybe i am wrong but i did think my question was ligit and being a mechanic by trade myself i have read alot of parts manuals but no matter how in depth they were, i have always found what i have been looking for. I will go and suss out the Sierra site FR ,thanks heaps again both.

I wouldn't have been amused if you had supplied that information, friend. The omission was yours, but I apologize if I offended you..

Thankyou heaps for those site links Tootallofwa and raczekp1, tha has made it alot easier knowing where to go and actually having model numbers that refer to my motor. Also thanks for letting me know the other models that have the same parts to fit mine raczekp1, much apprieciated guys. I am only in the learning stages of boat motors so am finding this all very interesting. :)

Re: Parts for my 1965 Evrinrude Fisherman #65021L????

Hi raczekp1 and sam_ott, thanks for your reply. Yeah raczekp1 i agree. I have had some tight corroded bolts to remove and with a lot of luck i managed to break only one! All though i was sure to have broken more then that. I am actually from Australia, so i empathise with you. This is part the hassel of finding somewhere that deals in parts for this model. I have only found 1 person who deals with spares in Australia (no doubt there may be more but i rang alot of places) but when i started to ask a few little questions they sort of started to go quiet and were not very helpful. Fair enough i guess if that is his living and he is only one of a very small group who still deals in these older motors.
Anyhow on a good note, to all of those who have had an input and have gone out of their way to help me.......A BIG THANKYOU!. I have now gotten a list of sites and parts i need to order and am currently in the process of finishing stripping the motor, lightly sand blasting and cleaning up ready for rebuild,re-spray and hopefully.....................re-go again!! No doubt i will have further questions to annoy you all with in the very short future. So thankyou all once again!
