parts motor for gamefish 15

i am now the proud owner or maybe not so proud owner of a 1987 gamefisher 14 ft boat and gamefisher 15 motor
when i rurchased the boat and motor the owner told me that themounting hardware was broken .the swivel that attaches the motor to the clamps that inturn attach to the back of the boat was split inhalf. this part is magnesium and can't be welded so what are my options can the bracket be purchased or will i be able to by a motor for parts
please help i am not a outboard mechanic

Some pics please. I think that engine is the same as the Chrysler 15Hp from midd 70.s. Even the 9,9 , 10 and 12,9Hp are the same swivelbracket.
You can buy a spare engine or even the parts on ebay. 9,9, 10, 12,9 and 15Hp will fit...... it think.

my computer knowledge is limited so i do not know how to post pictures is thier another way
to get info ,sorry for my lack of knowledge and thanx for any help you can provide

Look for a model number on your outboard and post that.

Gamefishers were made by various manufacturers, Eska and Force being the 2 most common. Does the powerhead look like a finned lawnmower engine (Eska/Tecumseh), or smooth like any normal outboard (Force). (87 vintage would be Force, that's if the outboard is 87 like the boat, maybe,,, maybe not...)

You can most likely find a replacement mount on Ebay, but I would verify the outboard runs before dumping money into it. If it is a Force, make sure both coils have spark as it's common for the coils to go bad and it's expensive repair to repair the Force ignitions, $80 for a coil from Standard Magneto or $200 for a complete ignition upgrade. You will want to replace the water pump impeller and fuel pump diaphragm kit, those parts are easy to find here on Iboats. (Other Gamefisher parts can be difficult to find.)

thats a rare one, I've not seen a 86 model force Gamefisher before, must have been sold right at the end of Eska's contract, Eska may have even bought them from force to fill the remaing Eska contracts for 1986 model year or its just plainly rebadged old stock force.
