Parts & schematic needed for 7.5 Evinrude

A friend of a friend recently gave me a 7.5 hp Evinrude outboard that he thinks dates to 1982 (model number looks to be E8RCNR, serial number looks like E0022590). I am told that it is in great shape mechanically EXCEPT for a throttle assembly that has been completely removed. Does anybody know where I can find these parts and where I can obtain an engine schematic that will help me put it back together? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Drew.

I think your first step is to get the year. I don't have that but someone will be along who does.

Then get yourself a manual.

We know a lot about engines, among us, and we want to help, BUT: we cannot substitute for a manual. It is no small request to ask someone to scan and email pages from a manual.

Good luck. :)

Thanks for the reply JB. I agree that its a lot to ask perfect strangers to scan and email pages from a manual, and I would not be so bold. I just asked where I can find the info I need, that's all.

Thanks again.

Hi, Drew.

OOPs! I need to read closer. My apologies.

The best place is still an OEM manual specific to your model. Second choice is a Clymer or other generic manual.

Good luck. :)
