Patching 1foot x 1 foot Section of Floor

Hello, I had to remove some of the floor in order to fix hull damage. Now Im ready to repair the floor, so what is teh best way to do this??

Could I use PL urethane (or epoxy resin + saw dust) to bond the new wood and then glass over the area? There is a stringer running through the middle of this repair area, so it will be supported.

I would coat the entire patch piece with epoxy resin and install with epoxy resin...... then maybe add a layer or two of cloth with the resin.
