I know I have been more curmudgeonly than usual lately. I am asking for a little extra slack.<br /><br />Why? Well, in the last two weeks. . . .<br /><br />Garage door opener blew up and stuck door half open. $235. <br /><br />TV antenna in-coax went bad and blew the booster. $220. <br /><br />My $40/mo broad band wireless suddenly is slower than dial-up. Took 30 seconds to load this forum. They say it is my 'puter. <br /><br />My fish pond is going dry with a 15 year culture of channel cat. The backup pond is dry. <br /><br />I have an anxiety attack at every tower of smoke that shows up on the horizon. <br /><br />My feline companion of 12 years is dying and the vet doesn't know why. $675 (and counting). <br /><br />My children chipped in to get me a super duper metal detector for Christmas. FedEx returned it to Radio Shack (they couldn't find The Hideout) who cancelled the order. Radio Shack didn't bother to tell anyone. <br /><br />I have tied a knot in the end of my rope and am hanging on, but I am not happy about it.

Sorry to hear it JB, I hope I didnt pass it on, a jinx so to speak! It will pass, I found prayer to be the best medicine. Quess we wont go there, been all over that one allready. It does work though.

Deep breath, pore yourself a tall single malt sit back and relax. Know we're all pulling/praying for ya. Sorry about your feline friend, that $uck$, never an easy go. As for the smoke on the horizon, may the winds be in your favor. Hang in there JB as you well know things will get better.

Are you sure that it isn't SBN's little buddies causing you some chaos JB? Cheer up Ancient Mariner, keep looking in the horizon and take care of your 4 legged family member. All the other stuff can be dealt with. I'll even say a nice prayier for Catzilla and do a rain dance for you. Good Luck and hope things get better.

Sorry to hear of your problems JB. Hope the catfish make it through. <br /><br /> Do you have any pics of your catfish? How big is your biggest one? 15 years of growing ought to have put some pounds on it! I've always wanted to have a pond with catfish in it. Thats high on the list when I buy a house.

A few years ago I caught one about 8lb, but most of my catches run 3-5lb.
