pedal boat troling motor mount

yesterday I bought a used water wheeler jr. made by leisure time limited for ultra cheap. the wife and I want to use it for getting into those small lakes/ponds with no fishing pressure and I feel it is just about perfect.

my question is how do I go about mounting a trolling motor to it? the plate on the stern says "weight limit 500# persons, gear, and motor". there must be a way.

well id probly get a tiller handle motor with gator jaws and just clip it to the side some where or get 2 pices of aluminum angle and bolt them back 2 back where i wanted the motor

Looks like a troller would just clamp right on the back.

Don't know what state you are from but here in Indiana you have to register a boat with anything other than human power so you may want to look into that to avoid a ticket.

Here in Nevada, a pedal boat has to be registered. The statute reads, propelled by mechanical means. Sails and oars/paddles are the only exception.
