Pee Hole

I just bought a boat and it has a 1993 40hp Force on it. Now i am new to these engines but i have noticed that there is not a pee hole on the side of the motor. Is there any way to add one on it?

Yes.
There is a small plug on the top of the engine, just in front of the thermostat cover, above the top spark plug.

You can remove the plug, add a brass fitting with a 90* bend, then attacj a plastic hose.


The plug is part number 22, in the picture below.

There is one tucked behind one of the bolts that bolts the lower unit. The only way I found this was I thought I had a leak at the bolt, removed it and saw the pee hole !

Ok I'm new to this boat thing so I gotta ask what is a pee hole?

pee hole = tell tale = water flow indicator
